Following hot on the heels from the release of the CARV.2 tactical rifle – the latest new weapon to come to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in Season 3 – players will soon get access to a brand-new playlist; 12v12 Moshpit. Coming in an update later this week, this mode promises intense action, thanks to the maps it makes use of.
What to Expect From 12v12 Moshpit This Week
The next update to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is due to roll out this Thursday, the 13th of May. Included in that update will be 12v12 Moshpit; a new playlist which features a variety of 12v12 respawn modes. However, all of these modes will be using 6v6-size maps, such as Nuketown ’84. As a result, this playlist is likely to be rather frenetic, with twice as many players as usual packed into each map!

Also coming in the Thursday update is the next Gunfight Tournament. Players looking to enter the Tournaments this time around should prepare as best they can before it begins! Meanwhile, the Party Games playlist collection will also be available throughout the week, featuring Prop Hunt, Gun Game, and the relatively new Sticks and Stones mode, which arrived at the start of Season 3.
With the CARV.2 tactical rifle having only just arrived, there won’t be any new weapons coming in this week’s update. However, there will be a handful of new store bundles. Included with these is the Tracer Pack: Antonov Operator Bundle, which will be players’ first chance to get their hands on Antonov; the final new Operator due to launch during Season 3. Antonov’s release follows those of Wraith, Captain Price, and Knight earlier in the season. Like Wraith and Knight, Antonov is also a member of the Warsaw Pact, and is a former hitman who specialises in bomb defusal.
