Treyarch has just wrapped up their first Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 live stream, whose purpose was to inform fans about what they should expect from the game’s presense at E3 2018 and general information about its multiplayer mode. In the live stream, 9 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Maps were announced to be available at launch, with more coming in the future.
Firing Range, Slums, Summit, and Jungle remake, plus Contraband, Seaside, Payload, and Frequency being available at launch, that puts us at 9 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Maps with another fan favorite coming soon after, Nuketown.
Four of those maps are old fan favorite maps from previous Call of Duty titles. Jungle, Slums (from Black Ops 2), Summit (from Black Ops 1) and Firing Range are now completely remade with new visual and SFX, making them a sweet addition to the game’s map roster along with the 5 new ones, the Blackout map and the three Zombies maps, each for the game’s three chapters.
Nuketown is the smallest yet most intense map in the Call of Duty franchise, offering close range combat and fast paced gameplay. Treyarch revealed that Nuketown will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, right after its release. There are also hints that the same map might be implemented in Blackout, this hasn’t been confirmed though as the stream focused solely on multiplayer.
What fans quickly pointed out is that 9 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Maps mark exactly the same amount that WW2 released with. There hasn’t been any major reveals about the maps but Treyarch promised to keep doing this short of live streams, revealing more information about the game the closed we get to launch. We expect the biggest announcements to be made at E3 2018, where community members will also get a chance to try out Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for the first time.
