Any Borderlands related news has been overwhelming for us these last few months. Is it Borderlands 3? Or is it Borderlands: Remaster? Maybe it is nothing at all. Even Gearbox might feel confused about all these rumors. Perhaps they cannot decide which title to work on with all this feedback for both upcoming games. A recent tweet from the official Borderlands Twitter account had fans obsessing over whether it was referring to Borderlands: Remaster or not.
Borderlands posted a specific picture yesterday in all its accounts on social media following a puzzling description. In no time, fans started flooding the comments talking about whether this is a leak of Borderlands: Remaster or not.
“It’s cute that you all think you’re the heroes of this little adventure, but you’re not. Welcome to Pandora, kiddos.”

That new picture of Handsome Jack and Pandora was enough for fans to start in on conspiracy theories again. Moreover, the familiar quote following the picture fuels their obsession. Many fans think this tweet is a hint at a Borderlands remaster. On the other hand, others are merely pointing out the fact that Borderlands’ accounts post this kind of thing very often.
With San Diego Comic-Con on its way, there are many possibilities, to be honest. The most anticipated titles of the Borderlands franchise are Borderlands 3 and Borderlands: Remaster. Since the Borderlands 3 release date has been delayed into 2019-2020, fans’ guesses are focused on the latter. Furthermore, Borderlands: The Handsome Edition did not feature a remastered edition of the first title of the franchise. That is why most of the fans have been waiting for a single and unique port of Borderlands in the future.
It is highly likely Gearbox teased an upcoming Borderlands: Remaster. They have done something similar in the past, giving hopes to the fans once again. Could this be the real deal though? Maybe an announcement of some sort is closer than we think. So, which side are you on?
