The Battlefield V Closed Alpha has concluded a week ago, giving fans a taste of what is to expect when the game releases. Players have sent their feedback to DICE and now it’s their turn to offer some insight on its success. What will be changing in the weeks to come before the official Beta starts?
The Battlefield V Closed Alpha apart from feedback on its stability, provided useful data and statistics of what players prefer to do. While the playercount was limited, the data collected is relevant to what it will be at launch. In the Alpha, DICE tested the technical aspects of the game, its backend systems, player scoring rate and more.
DICE revealed that during the closed alpha, they had some issues with our matchmaking configuration, which caused some players to get error messages or be placed in less suitable server locations with increased latency when trying to join. The matchmaking system will get tweaked before launch, along with some features like the revive system and ammunition.
Furthermore, players have provided DICE with feedback on TTK (Time to Kill). According to them, they were getting killed too quickly on some occassions, something that will be getting tweaked before its release. This has also something to do with the mode you’re playing on, meaning that in some cases you won’t be experiencing huge changes.
Regarding the Narvik map, it was internally designed with clear lanes to engage enemies and objectives, something that was event apparent according to DICE’s statistics. As you can see from the image below, the valley saw less action, while the bridge and shoreline were the places the most of engagement took place.

As expected, weapons in Battlefield V will get tweaked and balanced, adjusting recoil and damage for guns and vehicles. You”’ be able to test those changes and try out more weapons during the game’s beta, which will take place late August.
