Niantic has teased Pokemon GO getting its 4th generation of Pokemon earlier this month through a poster celebrating the game’s second anniversary. Now, new information emerge, in the form of a Reddit leak, revealing related events and featured Pokemon.
We already knew that the Pokemon GO 4th generation will release later this year, since Niantic has announced that they’ll be releasing new Pokemon after their annual annivarsary celebrations. However, no news have been made public yet, that doesn’t stop community rumors and leaks.
According to a Redditor, who have previously leaked the Water Festival event and a double XP event, the new generation will bring new evolutions for previous pokemon like Magmortar, Electrivire and Rhyperior, which he leaked and more.
He also revealed:
“New evolution items, including elemental stones (not sure about this, they never had fire stone and such, so I’m confused)
“Double XP for evolving and spinning pokestops.”
Whether the leaks are true or not, will be revealed when Niantic actually drops the release bomb. Whichever the case, the leaker revealed that he is just now back with new information because his sources stopped sharing:
“Seems like the group where I used to get information from wasn’t giving it anymore. But now they are, again. This time, without the full release text (seems like Niantic made sure translators wouldn’t leak stuff anymore), just some vague information.
“Let me tell you, I’m not really sure about it this time, but I want to share to see your opinion anyways.”
We can’t help but anticipate for the next generation of pokemon to hit Pokemon GO. With 3 full generations now being available in the game, it is at its finest state with players coming back to complete their Pokedex, join raids and trade Pokemon with their friends. Imagine what hype would the release of 4th generation will bring to Pokemon GO. We can’t wait to see it happening.
