The new subscription service Electronic Arts has announced at E3 2018, Origin Access Premier is now available. It offers everything Origin Access provides along with even more perks, like early access to upcoming titles, access to expansions for eleigible games and more. What you might want to know to get you hyped is that Battlefield V will be available through Origin Access Premier along with FIFA 19, Anthem and more.
A few weeks ago we discussed how Electronic Arts gives access to several different Battlefield titles to players, including Battlefield 1 and more. Now, through the new tier of Origin Access, the Origin Access Premier, subscribers can play Battlefield V as well, not only at launch, but a few days before that as part of its Early Access mode.
Through the new subscription service you’ll get Early Access to Battlefield V and, as it description suggests, its future updates as well. Origin Access Premier costs €14.99 per month and will later on include games like Anthem and other unannounced future titles.
One thing we should mention that may not be clear to all users is that the Origin Access Premier is only available for PC. This is different than the original Access, available for quite some time now so you should redo your payment plan in order to get it.
Electronic Arts isn’t the only company focusing on such Netflix-like paid subscription. Microsoft and Sony have such services as well, with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass being the biggest one in the industry right now. It will be interesting to see how other companies stick to that model as well, since with the constantly increasing rate of new games releasing, all publishers will have to provide their games through monthly paid subscription services to extend their life cycles.
