New Pokemon GO Community Day Set For September And Includes Chikorita
Niantic is throwing one Pokemon GO Community Day after another, giving players the opportunity to get massive amounts of specific Pokemon in just one day. After the success of the Eevee community day, the next one will feature Chikorita and will take place on Saturday September 22nd.
One thing that each Pokemon GO Community Day has in common is the type of Pokemon featured. Niantic is throwing such events to make starter Pokemon like Squirtle and Pikachu easier to find and catch and why not, gather a few high-end evolutions in the end.
The Chikorita Pokemon GO Community Day will make the featured Pokemon easier to find. Make sure to farm your way to its highest evolution and maybe find a few shiny ones as well. Here are the timetables for the event, set for Saturday September 22nd:
Times:
- Europe, Middle East, Africa, India: 10am to 1pm UK (BST), 11am to 2pm CET
- North America, South America and Greenland: 11am to 2pm PST, 2pm to 5pm EST
- Asia Pacific: 12pm to 3pm JST
As with every previous Pokemon GO Community Day, this one will also include triple experience for catching Pokemon and 3 hour lures to use throughout the day.
As for Chikorita, its last evolution, Meganium is one of the very few grass type Pokemon to be usable in the game, both in Raids and Gym battles. After the end of the Pokemon GO Community Day you can expect Meganium to pop up in battles even more so make sure to farm a few counters as well.
What can you do to be prepared for the Chikorita Pokemon GO Community Day? For starters, get yourself a huge amount of Ultra Balls since all starter Pokemon are relatively hard to catch on classic ones. Furthermore, you should want to bring as many Pinap and Raz Berries to get more candies and make Chikoritas easier to catch accordingly.
