After what feels like an excruciatingly long wait, meteors are now beginning to crash down from the sky in Fortnite. The theories will all be coming true or be thrown out the window, with some sort of resolution coming to light soon. After putting up a brief “llama emergency service” image on Twitter yesterday and sending sirens to start blaring in-game, fans were on high alert. But now the event we’ve all been waiting for is actually happening, and no one knows what to think.
The biggest questions we’ve had throughout this entire event still remain, however: What is the main meteor’s purpose, and is the largest one going to hit the ground in the near future? What kind of updates will that bring? With the announcement that season 4 is beginning soon just posted to Twitter, this has to be heralding the end of season 3 on April 30, when the big meteor may finally make landfall. Will Tilted Towers be crushed under its weight, or will superheroes swoop in to save the day? Maybe aliens are still involved somehow.
If you want to see the meteors crashing for yourself, download the new update available on Fortnite and hop online to explore the maps to see them hurtling down. You won’t see them everywhere, apparently, just a few different locations and it seems somewhat random, but if you stick around you’ll see one.
This is it, what we’ve all been waiting for, and it certainly is a spectacle. We’ll continue to bring you more updates as things develop.
