Bless Unleashed is the very first console MMORPG to be released from Bandai Namco. Interestingly enough, it seems to be an Xbox One exclusive as no other console platforms are mentioned in the press release sent out earlier today. It is scheduled to release in the first half of 2019 and will make its public debut next week.
If the name Bless Unleashed sounds familiar, that might be because there is already an MMO out right now on Steam called Bless Online. Bandai Namco strangely avoids noting whether or not this is the console version of that MMO but through our digging, the developer of Unleashed is Neowiz Games, the same as Bless Online on PC.
Unlike its PC counterpart, Bless Unleashed will be free-to-play when it releases next year on Xbox One. It is a stunning MMORPG built in the Unreal Engine 4, allowing for a deep and vibrantly persistent world for players to explore. This version of the game has been built from the ground up with the console experience in mind.
There are five job classes in Bless Unleashed that players will be able to choose from when it launches. They are all meant to be twists on the typical fantasy jobs that you would find in other MMO’s. Examples given include the Mage and the bloodthirsty Berserker. Gameplay involves stringing up combos and utilizing dodges when needed.
To note, both of those classes are featured in the base game of Bless Online on PC. The other three classes are Guardian, Ranger, and Paladin. A sixth class Assassin was added after the launch and the Mystic and Warlock classes are expected in the future.
