One of the more popular graphical mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has received a major update. The “High Poly Project” Skyrim mod was first launched in September last year by a modder who goes by LucidAPs. The mod aims to improve Skyrim’s in-game models by increasing polygons, replacing them, or editing UVs.
The High Poly Project Version 4.7 Skyrim Mod
The “High Poly Project” Skyrim mod can be downloaded from its page on NexusMods. The latest update, which was released yesterday, is version 4.7. The last significant update was version 4.2, which became available back in April. LucidAPs keeps a complete list of new or improved objects on the mod’s page on NexusMods, which includes a variety of scenery objects and usable items. These range from Dragon Bones to the Windhelm Throne and even Garlic Bread.
According to LucidAPs, the mod has minimal-to-no effect on the game’s performance. Players should note that while there is an older version of the mod available for Skyrim, the current version is for the Skyrim Special Edition. As a result, the mod is likely much more attractive to Special Edition players. LucidAPs has made it clear that they have no plans to continue updating the “Oldrim” version of the mod. In his own words; “I don’t mod things I don’t play, join us in SSE.”
