EA Sports has officially started to reveal their FIFA 19 player ratings. While fans already have an idea who the top players in the game are going to be (based on last year), FIFA is releasing the players in groups. The first group is about 40 players and doesn’t feature any major surprises. Those surprises are likely to arrive when the ratings reveal gets closer to the top 50 or 20 players. However, there were already FIFA 19 ratings leaked for the top six Premier League teams.
The first wave of player ratings cover the 100 through 61 spots overall. The players within this group received an 85 or 86 rating. Some of the highlights include Liverpool’s Fabinho (85), Los Angeles Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic (85), Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil (86), as well as Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Thiago (86). A debate has already started up on the Twitter post about Ozil. All of the latest player ratings are now available at the official EA Sports website.

FIFA 19 Player Ratings Trailer Released
On Thursday (Sep. 6) fans learned that these first player ratings were on the way. EA Sports FIFA Twitter account posted a comical trailer video (below) with a caption “You can’t please everyone.” The nearly three-minute video features a variety of international stars questioning their ratings and even has a “mock press conference.”
Among the players protesting the FIFA ratings are Diego Costa, Olivier Giroud, and Cristiano Ronaldo. The latter of these players is on the phone questioning why he isn’t rated 100 for the game, while Giroud is sneakily putting fliers on car windshields.
In the FIFA 18 game, the top players included cover athlete Ronaldo at the top, Lionel Messi in second, and Neymar Jr. at third. These players will probably once again be near the top for the FIFA 19 player ratings. However, it may not be until next week or later that their ratings are officially revealed. Fans will also be curious which players may have moved up or fallen a bit within the top 20.

As more ratings drop, fans will debate which FIFA 19 ratings are accurate and which EA may have all wrong. That’s the beauty of sports games, although luckily there will be the ability to change things up a bit. Fans now have a FIFA 19 soundtrack as ratings are being unveiled. Soon they’ll be able to actually play the title.
The FIFA 19 game arrives on September 28th for Nintendo Switch, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PCs. Stay updated on more updates ahead of the game’s official release at VGR’s FIFA news section.
