Resonance of Fate is blasting its way to modern platforms with a 4K HD remaster that was just announced by Japanese developer tri-Ace. The gun-focused JRPG will be making its way to PS4 and, for the very first time, PC on October 18, 2018. It is available for pre-order right now for $35. PS4 pre-orders come with some exclusive themes and avatar sets.
Resonance of Fate first released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 to critical acclaim. The steampunk JRPG is set in the distant future where humanity has neared extinction and follows a trio of mercenaries as they attempt to uncover what’s really going on in their world. Developer tri-Ace is best known for developing the beloved Star Ocean series.
Resonance of Fate features an interesting mix of both real-time and turn-based gameplay through its ‘tri-attack’ battle system that utilizes the three mercenaries: Zephyr, Vashyron, and Leanne. The JRPG is known for its fast-paced thrills and cinematic action. There is a lot of attention given to the customization of the character’s guns, too.
The official announcement of Resonance of Fate 4K HD Edition comes after some recent rumors and leaks that hinted towards a remastered release of the JRPG. If you are interested, you can check out the full trailer for the title above. The game is now available for pre-order on PS4 and PC through Steam for $35.
Resonance of Fate 4K HD Edition releases next month on October 18, 2018. Developer tri-Ace’s most recent title released is the surprisingly awesome mobile RPG spin-off Star Ocean Anamnesis. That mobile title is free to download and is available right now in the West on Android and iOS. Resonance of Fate isn’t the only one to get a remaster soon, as others like The Last Remnant and Tales of Vesperia were also recently announced for upcoming releases.
