The very first generation eight Pokemon has reportedly leaked via Pokemon Go‘s data. This new Pokemon could not only be from the 2019 set of games but would most likely be the single new creature in the upcoming Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee titles. News of this leak comes from Twitter user Chrales, a user best known for accurate Pokemon Go datamining previously.
According to Twitter user Chrales, the potential new Let’s Go Pokemon has appeared just recently in the database for Pokemon Go. Oddly enough, its name seems to be listed as Kecleon, an already existing creature in the series, but this could simply be a placeholder name to avoid too many spoilers. There are images of the Pokemon in action, as well as the number 891 attached to it.
From here on out, we are putting a heavy spoiler warning out. If you don’t want to potentially have both the Let’s Go games’ new creature design spoiled for you or any generation eight info, turn around now. Both the images and the number tag are what seem to be pointing towards this new monster being the first leaked generation eight Pokemon. You can find the image of it below.
This not very attractive-looking lock nut Ditto-like Pokemon is designated as 891 in Pokemon Go. This is interesting considering that the last entry in the overall Pokedex is 807 for the upcoming mythical Zeraora. The number 891 isn’t surprising at all, as this creature is presumably not a starter Pokemon and, therefore, wouldn’t be 808. It also has a shiny form, leading credence to this being a real design.
How Pokemon number 891 connects to the Let’s Go games is that you are able to transfer Pokemon from the mobile game Go to the Nintendo Switch pair of games. It would make sense that the creature would show up in Pokemon Go to allow for this to happen. Regardless, these are only rumors and we won’t know for sure until The Pokemon Company confirms it.
