God of War is a game with more than a few sets of collectibles. Quite possibly the first that you might come across when you start the game is the Lost and Found set. These lost toys are scattered around the game’s opening area; the Wildwoods. While not especially valuable compared to later sets, the Lost and Found toys can give you a nice boost to XP when you’re first getting started, and they aren’t too difficult to find.
Information about the Lost and Found set can be found in the menu under ‘Artefacts’, under the Goals tab. Like other Artefacts, such as the Faces of Magic masks, the lost toys aren’t going to be lying directly in your path. Fortunately, they shouldn’t be too hard to spot, as they shimmer when you get close to one. No collectible in God of War is miss-able. However, if you don’t find the full set straight away you will have to wait until later in the game before you can return to the Wildwoods. Up until the boss fight against Daudi Kaupmaor, you can turn back to complete the toy set. After that, the way back will be blocked until later.
Where to Find the Lost Toys
The first of the four lost toys is found at the very beginning of the game. Once you return to Kratos’ house with Atreus during the ‘Hunt with Atreus’ quest, pause before passing through the gate. Turn right, and the toy should be a short distance away beside a wall.
After collecting the toy, pass through the gate and find a flight of stairs a short way ahead. Before climbing up, turn left and the second toy will be in the snow a few feet away. From there, continue to follow the quest until you come upon a large stone circle where the path splits apart. Turn right and follow the path down, then climb along a ledge to your left. Carry on until you find a chain which you can climb down. Below you should find a pair of wolves, and to the left of them is the third toy.
Return back to the main path and go with Atreus into an ancient temple. In the central hall, clear out any enemies and then look for a door on the opposite side to where you entered. The door cannot be opened until all enemies have been slain. Through the door, turn right and you should find the fourth and final toy among some scattered debris.
Each of the four toys will grant you a small chunk of 10 XP. Completing the set rewards 350 XP, and the toys can also be sold off to vendors for Hacksilver without fear of losing completion. Simply picking them up once is enough to count towards 100% completion of God of War.
