Fans Can Expect the First Game From Too Kyo Games in Two to Three Years

It was just revealed that fans can expect the first games from the recently formed Too Kyo Games studio in two to three years. As of right now, the studio has a total of four projects in development and we can expect most, if not all, of them to be released in 2020 or 2021. The studio was formed by the creators of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series.

Too Kyo Games’ founder Kazutaka Kodaka (known for creating the beloved Danganronpa series) recently sat down with IGN Japan in an interview regarding the founding of the new video game studio. It was there that Kodaka revealed when fans of his games can look forward to the first project from his new studio.

IGN Japan asked, specifically, when players can look forward to the four projects that were initially announced. You can find Kodaka’s full response to the question below, courtesy of Siliconera:

“I believe it’ll be about 2 to 3 years for the titles we’re working on right now, but we’ll work on releasing them as soon as possible.”

Kodaka’s answer to the question certainly lends credence to the fact that we could see all four projects by 2020 or 2021. This is certainly surprising given that Too Kyo Games is a brand new studio and is working on all of them at once, though, some are collaborations.

We do know a little bit about what the four projects are that Too Kyo Games is working on right now. The first is Extreme x Despair, a Danganronpa-looking game. Next up is an anime project that is written by Kodaka himself and produced by Studio Pierrot of Tokyo Ghoul and Naruto fame. The last two projects are a death game that is seemingly directed towards a child audience and a dark fantasy mystery game that is being co-developed with Spike Chunsoft.
