One thing everyone wants to know about the next Call of Duty title is whether or not it will support mods. Its developing studio has shown its interest in making it happen in the past, so the situation looked positive. Finally, Treyarch has revealed that Black Ops 4 mod support is a feature they’re interested at, but it won’t be available at launch.
When talking about Black Ops 4 Mod Support, we’re talking about its PC version, of course. Beenox has done an excellent job in optimizing the game, something that was shown during its Beta last month. While many fans have had their doubts over mods on PC, Treyarch has revealed through Twitter that they’re are looking into that possibility. Here’s what a representative said:
“We’ve repeatedly commented on our huge fandom for the mod community, and it’s something we’ll be looking at, but won’t be at launch.”
The statement came as an answer to a fan, asking what would Black Ops 4 mod support look like in the future. Pretty bold answer if you ask us. Interestingly, Treyarch has been pretty upfront with their communication with players. They have answered questions, provided insight on what they’re working on and more.

It’s no secret that Black Ops 4 mod support is a feature that makes PC stand out above consoles. That’s even more important for first person shooters like Call of Duty. Both Treyarch and Beenox have pointed out that the PC version of the game will be the ultimate one. It will include a bunch of new features and better optimization.
Will Black Ops 4 Mod Support become a reality? That remains to be seen. The fact that the developers haven’t ruled the possibility out is positive for the time being. We’ll wait after the release to get to know if we’ll get to the full modded version of it.
