Bethesda Clarifies That Elder Scrolls: Legends is Not Yet “Complete”

Sparkypants Studios recently released a major overhaul of The Elder Scrolls: Legends. Since the studio took the game over from Dire Wolf Digital, they have been rebuilding Legends from the ground up. Since the launch, however, some fans have been unhappy with the game, either due to bugs or a dislike of the new look. Bethesda recently released a statement addressing these concerns.

Bethesda Addresses Fan Concerns With The Elder Scrolls: Legends Overhaul

Sparkypants Studios first announced the overhaul all the way back in May of this year. They have been developing the new version of the game ever since Bethesda granted them control of the Elder Scrolls card game. While some fans have been unhappy with the recent changes, Bethesda has explained that they don’t consider the game to be “complete”, reassuring fans that there would be more to come.

The Current Look of Elder Scrolls Legends is Not Considered Final

“We know many of you have expressed varying levels of frustration and dissatisfaction over Legends’ recent client refresh.” says Bethesda; “Our teams are actively listening, monitoring, and tracking all feedback, issues, and bugs, including missing sounds from cards, choppy animations, card interactions, bugged daily quests, incorrect art, and more.”

Since the release of this statement, Sparkypants Studios has in fact already released the first patch for the new version of the game. This addresses a range of bugs, and seems to indicate that fixing problems is now their top priority. However, things are also not concrete when it comes to the game’s new look, as Bethesda explains; “In terms of the look and feel of the game, this refresh is by no means complete. It was never our intention to roll out Sparkypants’ new client and call it a day. We’re committed to making Legends a game you – and we – are proud of.”

“This is the first step of a larger plan to improve the player experience,” they continue; “iterate more quickly, and deliver more content, fixes, and balance updates at a faster cadence than ever before. In the meantime, we will continue to address issues like the overall feel of the game, card mechanics, and UI flow. So please keep sending us your feedback and comments – we are listening!”
