Fallout 4: New Vegas is one of the most ambitious mod projects around for the Fallout series; so much so that it has been officially sanctioned by Bethesda. The team’s goal is to recreate the entirety of Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4, not just as a 1:1 recreation but with a host of improvements. In the team’s most recent update, the modders unveiled a new set of impressive in-game billboards.
The Latest Billboards From Fallout 4: New Vegas
The Fallout 4: New Vegas team have shown off posters and billboards in past updates. However, this latest set is entirely new; “For this week’s Featured Content Friday,” states the post; “we wanted to showcase a little more work from our 2D artists. As mentioned in our previous devlog, Team F4NV has hit a team where our 2D team has reached capacity for the most part, and is quickly getting to a point where most, if not all, 2D assets needed for the game will soon be finished!”
The latest billboards were created by 2D artists Charlie Wilcher, Wanamingo, and Bruno Sathler. Although the Fallout 4: New Vegas 2D art team is no longer accepting applications, the team is still recruiting for several other roles, including voice acting. As Bethesda has said that mods cannot include lines of dialogue taken from other Fallout games (a ruling which caused a similar mod project to recreate Fallout 3 in Fallout 4 to shut down), the Fallout 4: New Vegas team has chosen to re-record the entire script of Fallout: New Vegas. The first lines of dialogue were shown off in their recent 10-minute gameplay demo. However, with such a huge amount of dialogue to record, the team needs a sizeable cast of voice actors. In addition to voice actors, the team is also looking for more animators, 3D asset creators, and level designers.
