Epic Games is currently preparing another patch for Fortnite Battle Royale. The game developer has released the v6.01 patch recently, and it seems that another update is ready to go. This time, Fortnite players are getting a new weapon, and there might be a few more additions to the game.
The Fortnite developer released the latest patch on Wednesday, October 3, so we can expect the next one to be released this Wednesday. However, considering the timing of patches in season 5, it won’t be surprising if we get it one day earlier. The new weapon, Quad Launcher, will finally be added to the popular video game.
Quad Launcher coming to Fortnite
Quad Launcher was leaked in early September and many Fortnite players believed it would be added in season 5. However, the game developer has decided to release it in the sixth season.
Fortnite: Save the World players are already familiar with this weapon. As its name indicates, this explosive weapon is capable of firing off four rockets in a short period of time. After firing them, players have to reload the weapon, which is something that can be done in less than two seconds in the PvE mode.
However, there is no doubt that Epic Games will adjust the weapon for the battle royale mode. While its fire rate may remain unchanged, its reload time will most likely be set to five seconds or more. Additionally, there will probably be a limit on how many rockets players can use for the weapon, and its player damage may also be lowered.
At the moment, it is unknown what other changes Epic Games will make to Fortnite with the upcoming patch. However, this will most likely be a big update, which means that we could get some big gameplay changes, and maybe even more items.
