One of the countless gameplay systems in RDR2 is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Honor level. This system is basically the title’s version of a “good or bad” feature. You can play as an honorable outlaw, helping out people in need and being a good person. Alternatively, you can be a total jerk, killing and stealing from whomever and whenever you want.
However, regardless of whichever you decide to do, the game’s world will react to it. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Honor system is set so that people will know your deeds. If you’ve been a great person, people will be more friendly and may even reward you. On the other hand, if you’re known as a murderer, people will probably try to stay away from you. Regardless, here’s how to quickly raise your level or lower it.
How to Quickly Raise or Lower Red Dead Redemption 2 Honor Level
Being an honorable person is actually much harder than being a dishonorable outlaw. It certainly takes much more effort but it does come with its own benefits. There are many ways of raising your level like helping strangers, not picking unnecessary fights, and even simply greeting people. But there are some ways there are better than others.
The easiest way without a doubt is to grind for money and continuously donate to the camp. This is especially easy to do if you use your gold duplication glitch. However, if you’re not into that, all you need to do is greet every single person you see multiple times. We did this often and found ourselves already at around 75 percent Honor at the start of chapter three.
On the other hand, lowering your Red Dead Redemption 2 Honor level is far easier. All you have to do is just be as bad as you can possibly be. Kill anyone, steal all the time, antagonize random NPC’s, and just be an overall jerk. You’ll have a dishonorable reputation in no time; just watch out for the lawmen.
