Exactly five days from now, Hitman 2 will receive its very first Elusive Target. These special targets are only available for a limited time, in this case 14 days. For Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target, developer Io Interactive recruited a special guest: legendary actor Sean Bean. The game’s latest trailer gives players the run down on both Bean’s character and Elusive Targets in general.
Hitman 2 Elusive Targets Debut Trailer
We previously looked at how Hitman 2’s Elusive Targets work, but if you need a refresher, we’ve got you covered. The below breakdown also includes some specific details regarding next week’s debut target.
- For Elusive Targets you only get one chance to complete the mission and you can’t manually save.
- You can restart the mission as long as the target hasn’t been alerted or killed.
- Sean Bean plays a former MI5 agent named Mark Faba, known by his codename “The Undying.”
- Faba’s codename refers to his mastery of faking his own death (a nod to Bean’s penchant for dying on-screen).
- Mark Faba will arrive in Hitman 2’s Miami location on November 20, and will remain there until December 4.
- Targets are immune to your radar.
- You can’t see targets in Instinct mode.
- You get no second chances if Faba escapes or Agent 47 is killed during the mission.
- The Mark Faba mission includes a unique “Explosive Penmanship” challenge, and completing the challenge awards the Explosive Pen gadget.
In 2016’s Hitman, completing Elusive Targets allowed players to unlock a series of bonus outfits for Agent 47. It’s not yet clear if Hitman 2 will receive a similar system, though we’re guessing it will. The previous system included location-specific outfits as well as outfits for successfully killing a certain number of targets. For the truly skilled, there was also a third category for eliminating Elusive targets and earning a Silent Assassin rating.
