Prosperity: Where to Find Far Cry 5’s Creepiest Town

Players have already found a whole assortment of Easter eggs in Far Cry 5. They have run the gamut from the weird to the amusing, but there is one that is decidedly creepy. It comprises an entire town, although it is tucked well away from any major story locations. Despite its size, there is almost no explanation given for what it is (or indeed, why it exists).

The town of Prosperity is located in the far south of the Henbane River region, the area dominated by Faith Seed. If you take a helicopter from the Hope County Jail and head southeast across the ridge, you should find it at the southern end of a dead-end road. It can be identified by a marker for a Clutch Nixon challenge located on its outskirts.

The Town of Prosperity – Mannequins

Far Cry 5’s Easter eggs vary wildly. They range from the powerful alien Magnopulser, to the mysterious Jackalope, and even a pizza bar where your companions hang out when they aren’t travelling with you. This one, on the other hand, is more creepy than anything else. Prosperity doesn’t have a single human inhabitant. Instead, the small town is populated entirely by mannequins. These mannequins are posed all over the settlement, as if they were the townsfolk. They are sitting on benches,  taking out garbage, and there is even a pile of mannequin parts beside the graveyard.

The game’s companions even seem to recognize how bizarre the settlement is. Upon arriving in Prosperity, they may make comments such as “This place gives me the creeps”. At some point, the character of Tweak appears to have lived in the town. You can find a note left by him on a bench, and a laboratory in one of the buildings. The note makes no mention of the mannequins, however. You can shoot the creepy figures, causing them to fall apart, but there is no explanation given for why they fill every part of the ghost town.
