FIFA 19 Serie A Team Helped Krzysztof Piatek Learn About New Teammates
Professional athletes are no strangers when it comes to playing video games, but what about playing them to learn about strangers? That’s exactly what Krzysztof Piatek used the game for upon his recent transfer from one team to another. Luckily, he had one of the top soccer simulation games on the market and could refer to the FIFA 19 Serie A team in the game to get more information about his new club.
Krzysztof Piatek joins new FIFA 19 Serie A team
Krzysztof Piatek moved from one FIFA 19 Serie A team to another. According to a report via JOE, the 23-year-old Piatek moved from KS Cracovia to Genoa this past summer. However, after joining the club, he wasn’t so familiar with who his new teammates were going to be. That’s where FIFA 19 teams came into play, literally.

Piatek said with regards to his situation, “I had no idea who my teammates at Genoa were when I signed, so I turned on my PlayStation and looked them up on FIFA.”
The good news is that Krzysztof Piatek’s teammates and opponents weren’t necessarily familiar with him either. He recalled, “I said to myself: ‘If they don’t know that I have scored 21 goals [for Cracovia last season] and scored in almost every game, maybe even the defenders will not know me.'” That could have given him a major advantage this season, at least early on.
FIFA 19 Serie A star is ahead of Ronaldo?
Gaining the familiarity and comfort with his teammates has helped Krzysztof Piatek quite a bit too. He’s currently the Serie A’s highest scorer with nine goals on his stat sheet. That has him ahead of FIFA 19 cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo who is also amongst the game’s highest-rated stars alongside Lionel Messi.
Piatek isn’t quite in that upper echelon in terms of the FIFA 19 ratings, though. Earlier this month, Piatek held a 74 overall rating in the game with three-star skill moves and just a two-star weak foot rating. His Pace is a 75 and Shooting at a 72, while other skills tend to be 69 or below.
More recently, Piatek hasn’t performed quite as hot for Genoa as he did out of the gate in the real-life Serie A. However, gamers can still appreciate his dedication to the sport in terms of studying up to prepare for his new team on the field.
