Like the cougars and bison, there are many things to search for in Red Dead Redemption 2. One of these possible collectibles is the Red Dead Redemption 2 Penny Dreadful book. Relatively early on in chapter two, you can find this side quest. It is but one of many side quests that center around finding certain items for fellow camp members.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 Penny Dreadful side quest, in particular, has you looking for books for the young Jack Marston. Before you can even take on the quest, you must have finished the chapter two main story quest where you take Jack fishing. This is also where the game teaches you about the fishing system. Afterward, you can access this quest.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Penny Dreadful Guide
Jack Marston tasks you with finding one of four possible Red Dead Redemption 2 Penny Dreadful books in the world. It seems he sadly lost his favorite book(s) during the events prior to the start of the game. As such, the boy needs a little entertainment in his life! Thankfully, you only need to find one of the books in order to complete the quest. Better yet, there is one spot that is the easiest to find.
For the most part, the four Red Dead Redemption 2 Penny Dreadful books are hidden well. They’re also located outside of main settlements so you do have to go out of your way. But there is one that is, fortunately, close to civilization and your chapter two camp. This one is found in the small little home known as Clawson’s Rest.
You can find this little home just to the northwest of the town of Valentine. To be exact, it is just to the north of the Dakota River and the railroad tracks that run parallel to it. Simply enter the home and look atop the dresser to find the Otis Miller and the Arabian Prince.
