Like perfect pelts from animals like iguanas and oxen, it is possible to lose the Red Dead Redemption 2 Lion Paw. Interestingly enough, though, this unique item isn’t like those pelts. Instead, you can only find it during a specific quest. As the name states, it is the paw of a lion. There is only one way to get this paw, which causes problems.
For instance, what happens if you lose the Red Dead Redemption 2 Lion Paw? It is entirely possible for this to happen just like with pelts. You can die right after getting it or lose your horse and so on. There are many number of ways that you can lose the item. This makes the possibility of this happening to you rise, which is unfortunate.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Lion Paw Explained
You get the Red Dead Redemption 2 Lion Paw from the quest “He’s British, Of Course”. It isn’t a main story mission, therefore, you aren’t required to do it. That alone can make missing the item a possibility. What’s worse, though, is this the only way to get the paw trinket. So, losing it is an even bigger issue than it needs to be.
Unfortunately, it’s really easy to lose an item like this one in the game. As such, your options if you’ve already lost it aren’t very many. You can, of course, reload to a previous save. The problem with this is that any autosave will most likely put you after you already did the quest. A manual save will mean that you lose whatever progress you’ve made since then.
However, some users are reporting on Reddit that this problem does fix itself. There is no guarantee (and we haven’t verified it ourselves) but it could be fixed after continuing the game. More specifically, some users report hunting a different legendary animal will fix the problem. Good luck!
