One of the more obvious aspects about Red Dead Redemption 2 is that it’s definitely not a game for kids. However, that being said, it does make for a surprisingly good LEGO theme as one Redditor recently proved. If you thought Dutch Van der Linde and his gang of outlaws were compelling before, you haven’t seen anything yet.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Custom LEGO Figures
The below custom LEGO figures were created by Redditor UnshiftedToast. As you can see, the initial set includes figures for Dutch, Arthur Morgan, Reverend Swanson, John Marston, and Lenny Summers. UnshiftedToast says the ultimate goal is to make figures for all 24 members of Dutch’s gang.
Some commenters in UnshiftedToast’s thread suggested he reach out to LEGO to pitch an official RDR2 set. However, UnshiftedToast rightly pointed out that LEGO likely wouldn’t be interested. The LEGO brand has always been very kid-focused, which means Red Dead Redemption 2 wouldn’t be a good fit. Imagine parents having to explain to their kids just who Arthur Morgan is and why he needs more gosh-darned faith.
UnshiftedToast’s RDR2 LEGO figures may never end up on store shelves, but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate his handiwork. I personally hope he manages to finish the full set. I can only image how Hosea, Karen, and Bill look in LEGO figure form. Oh, and extra kudos to UnshiftedToast if he can make LEGO Micah look as sinister as his in-game counterpart.
If you want some RDR2 LEGO figures of your own, UnshiftedToast also mentioned he takes commissions. You can reach out to him via Reddit if that’s something you’d be interested in. I don’t imagine even a custom LEGO figure would cost that much, but I’m no expert on the subject.
In other Red Dead Redemption 2 news, the game’s online component is now available for a select group of players. The online mode comes with its own suite of unique in-game achievements to earn if that’s your fancy.
