If you’re keen to hunt down some of the most dangerous new monsters which Fallout 76 has to offer, the Fallout 76 Queen of the Hunt drop quest is definitely for you. This quest can be found in The Mire, and so is best attempted once you reach level 30 or so, at the earliest. The quest involves hunting cryptids, and offers a unique and valuable reward.
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Queen of the Hunt Drop Quest
To start the Fallout 76 Queen of the Hunt drop quest, you’ll need to find the Hunter’s Shack. This very small and unassuming wooden shack can be found in the northern part of The Mire. It lies roughly in-between the Abandoned Shack and Southampton Estate. Unlike many other quests, there’s no miscellaneous quest to guide you to the location in this case either. As such, you’ll need to be vigilant as you travel through the area and not miss the tiny structure.
When you do find the shack, you’ll find a terminal inside. Choose the “Upload Data” topic in order to begin the quest. Once the quest starts, the random elements which denote this as a drop quest take effects. You’ll need to hunt and kill cryptids. However, their objective sites are chosen at random and will be different each time you undertake this quest. Luckily, most are usually in the northern half of The Mire, relatively close to the Hunter’s Shack.
Search each of the three marked areas to find three cryptids. Kill each one, and after you do, extract a tissue sample from each of the three carcasses. When you have all three samples, simply return to the shack and hand it in to complete the quest. As a reward for your efforts, you’ll receive random ammo and aid items, along with a random plan, mod, weapon, or armour piece. Additionally, there is a small chance that you’ll receive a legendary armour piece or weapon, and a second low chance that you’ll receive a casual under-armour mod. Most importantly, however, you’ll also receive the special Cryptid Perk.
