Here’s Our Madden 19 Wishlist

We’re still awaiting a release date for Madden 19, but if we go by previous years, we can expect that the next installment in the franchise is likely to be released in August. That means that we are just several months away! There’s no time like the present to talk about what the next game can do to improve over Madden 18. Here’s our Madden 19 wishlist!

5. A faster way to play through Madden 19 Ultimate Team mode.

Ultimate Team mode was great fun in Madden 18, but it was a pain to have to listen through superfluous introductions and tap through familiar screens every single time you completed a challenge. Hopefully Madden 19 will allow us to bypass these screens and intros and get straight back to grinding through the challenges.

4. Let’s get a Madden Ultimate Team app.

Speaking of Ultimate Team, even though there is a Madden Mobile app, there still isn’t one for Ultimate Team. Hopefully if they do introduce this feature, it will be free, but if it were just a couple of dollars, that wouldn’t necessarily be unreasonable.

3. Improve AI.

It seems like this goes on every wishlist we make every year for every sports game, but that’s because it never stops being applicable. AI has been improving each year with Madden games, but there are still issues with defense in multiplayer mode, and wide receivers are particularly problematic.

2. Dynamic weather.

Madden 18 already did a great job with weather, but EA can take it further in Madden 19 by making the weather dynamic. Imagine having to adjust your approach on the fly in response to changing conditions. This would add a new angle of challenge and intensity to the game.

1. Make improvements to Franchise mode.

Finally, let’s talk about Franchise mode. It’s been ages since we’ve seen any major upgrades to Franchise mode, and it is sorely in need of some changes and improvements.

It would be helpful for starters if we could edit draft classes and share them. It would also be nice if we could get the ability to edit and customize assistant coaches. And remember the team control features we had back in Madden 12? EA needs to bring those back. We also could use historical stat tracking and legacy tracking. Some kind of weekly report would be great too. All of this really is just scraping the tip of the iceberg. There is so much that EA could do to make Franchise mode better.

There are other things we want to see from Madden 19, but these are our five biggest requests at this point. There should be a lot of news coming out about Madden 19 soon as we get closer to August, so keep checking back with us for more Madden 19 news and updates!
