Many NBA 2K19 ballers will be heading to the Neighborhood in the game for the Winter Madness event this weekend. As of Thursday (Dec. 20), NBA 2K revealed the full list of events for the upcoming week and it’s packed with all sorts of great competitions and challenges. That includes a brand new addition to the lineup of events. Here’s the latest on what to expect for the NBA 2K19 Winter Madness as it brings a full slate of events through the end of the month.
NBA 2K19 Winter Madness Neighborhood events schedule
The NBA 2K19 Winter Madness promotion is ready to take over the Neighborhood in a few days. The scheduled events begin on Saturday (Dec. 22) and start at 9 a.m. with the Reese’s Puffs Crunch Hour. That’s when the courts are decked out in Reese’s style and gamers can earn double the 2K19 virtual currency with 3 vs. 3 games. There’s also the Gold Rush at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and a Beats competition from 9 p.m. until midnight.
For the most part, the brand new schedule (below) shows each day is packed with events, including Christmas Day. However, gamers will notice there’s something special there for the day after Christmas. This is a new addition to the Neighborhood lineup, a Celebrity Match which takes place globally.
Per NBA 2K’s Facebook post, this will feature two NBA athletes participating in the match along with “special guests.” This promotion will take place on a “specially-made” court (at Center Court) within the Neighborhood. There will also be a Twitch live stream featuring full audio of the players involved. Right now, it’s unknown which players or guests will be involved and the scheduled time is TBA, so stay tuned.

NBA 2K19 Winter Madness Schedule outlook
Each day of the promotion, with the exception of Wednesday right now, will include at least one or two of the popular 2K Compete Hour events. The Compete Hour will include three different mini-games. One of the mini-games is 10-minute Dodgeball with prizes including 25k VC. In Capture the Flag, players compete for 12 minutes with winning team getting 2,500 VC. Red Ball/Blue Ball will also feature a similar prize of 2,500 VC for the winning team. These are great opportunities to stack that VC up.
Seen above is the majestic setup for the Court Conqueror events on the schedule. These involve playing six of the classic squads from the Western Conference in 3 vs. 3. For example, gamers compete against Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and Shaquille O’Neal. There’s a Rockets team with Yao Ming, Clyde Drexler, and Hakeem Olajuwon. There are also teams of three well-known NBA stars for the Suns, Jazz, Sonics, and Spurs. Defeat all six of these squads to win an NBA jersey in Neighborhood.
Those are just a few of the upcoming events on the schedule. Gamers will want to take a look at the full details on 2K’s Facebook post here. It’s certainly an exciting time to participate in the NBA 2K19 game!
