The NFL’s Week 17 slate will bring the regular season to a close and give fans a clear NFL Playoff picture for 2018-19. A number of teams still have the ability to win a spot, some with help from other teams, while several squads are chasing high seeds. The Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Chicago Bears are amongst the latter of those teams. The Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans are some of the teams looking for playoff entry. With recent Madden 19 simulation games, it could give predictions for what’s to come on Sunday.
Madden 19 Simulation Games: Pats, Chiefs, Rams clinch high seeds
As mentioned, a number of NFL teams are looking towards the No. 1 or No. 2 seeds in either the AFC or NFC. In the AFC, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will take the No. 1 seed with a win over the Oakland Raiders. Based on the simulation results from 247Sports, they’ll defeat the visitors in a tight 14-10 battle at home. Kansas City will have a total of 391 yards compared to 355 for the Raiders.
The New England Patriots will also win, based on the Madden 19 simulation games. 247 shows a final score of 31-28 in Massachusetts. That means Tom Brady and the Pats are the No. 2 seed in the AFC, per the simulation. That could be scary for fans of the other teams in the AFC. Brady’s not in the MVP race but his team is right back in the thick of another Super Bowl trip with a stretch of wins.

New Orleans is the only lock for the top seed over in the NFC. However, the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams both have a chance to take the No. 2 seed. Los Angeles simply needs to win, or they can lose and the Bears lose. The Bears would need to win their game and hope the Rams lose to the San Francisco 49ers.
247’s Simulation shows that the Rams are going to easily take care of business with a 35-12. The simulation shows they’ll shutout San Francisco in the first and third quarters, and score touchdowns in every quarter themselves. Meanwhile, Mitch Trubisky and the Bears are predicted to lose to the Minnesota Vikings, 30-7. That bodes well for the Vikings, and not so well for another team.
Madden 19 Simulation Games: Vikings, Colts, Ravens secure spots
As mentioned, the Bears’ loss to the Vikings is exactly what Minnesota fans want. It puts their team into the playoffs and will eliminate the Philadelphia Eagles. Fans in Philly are rooting for another big game from Nick Foles and also becoming Bears fans for the day. Based on the simulation results, the Eagles don’t fare so well in their “must-win” game, as they’re predicted to fall 20-16 in Washington, DC.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are also looking for a win and some luck. If they can defeat the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens lose to the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh wins the division and a playoff spot. However, the Madden simulation games show that Pittsburgh loses 23-20 in a heartbreaker against Baker Mayfield and the Browns. Baltimore loses 23-17, but it would mean the Ravens are in, and Steelers are out.
Over in Tennessee, fans are hoping that quarterback Marcus Mariota is able to play. He and the Titans host the Indianapolis Colts in a game where the winner gets into the playoffs. The Sunday Night Football game will go to Andrew Luck’s side, based on a 38-17 result in the 247 simulations.
Here are the Week 17 results that the Madden Twitter posted on Sunday. These show good news for Eagles, Bears, Colts, Texans, and Steelers fans.
