Good news for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has surfaced lately, thanks to a new leak. Although we don’t know if this is a missplace of information or a legit leak, we can only get excited. According to it, the classic Call of Duty multiplayer game mode might see a return in Black Ops 4.
The leak was first spoted by Twitter user ‘_6foot6short’ who uses the official Call of Duty app. While browsing, he caught a glimpse of a weird tip. It made a clear mention to a classic Capture the Flag mode in Multiplayer. Although Treyarch hasn’t made any announcements about it, it looks legit to our eyes.
The recommended tip that the Twitter user mentioned stated the following:
“Assist Machine – Seems like you’re a defensive player who racks up a lot of assists,” the message reads. “Have you tried out Capture The Flag? Seems right up your alley.”
If this doesn’t scream “Capture the Flag” in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, then we don’t know what is. In reality, Capture the Flag has lost its touch since the first years of Call of Duty 3. Through all the modes available through the years though, this one is one of fans’ favorites.

Treyarch has already pointed out that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is their biggest and longest release up to date. Additionally, it is set to be supported long time, making it the one title in the franchise that brings the Call of Duty universe all together. Whether or not this means that Capture the Flag is making a return or not remains to be seen.
The long-term support of the game has just begun. The first content updates, new maps and specialists have released so, why not include a new mode at some point. For all we know, the Call of Duty app clearly indicates it. Let’s wait and cross fingers for an official announcement. Until then, stay tuned to VGR for more Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 news and guides.
