A few days ago, Bandai-Namco announced the Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase. The event took place on January 14, 2019 and saw a lot of great content. The publisher also mentioned that a new world premiere would take place during the event. Such world premiere was the confirmation of the American version of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission.
Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission will come to America
As the rumors once foretold, Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission will come to the west. The game will be released for the Nintendo Switch on April 5 in America and Europe. This puts the release date on the day after the Japanese version of the game is released.
With this set of news, Bandai-Namco has also prepared a trailer for the game as well. In the trailer, we’re shown the setting this game takes place in as well as how the game plays. It’s a collectible card game where players can summon their favorite Dragon Ball characters for battle. You can take a look at the trailer below:
A very interesting detail about this trailer is the ending, of course. We see a new original villain created by Toyotaro, the legitimate successor to Akira Toriyama. Not much is known about this new character minus the fact that he could be the very first Time Patroller.
The game certainly looks quite good for players who are into the TCG gameplay. It’s only a matter of time before more details about the game are released in terms of balance choices. The new storyline is also quite interesting; how will a card game player be able to save the world?
