How to Complete ‘A Few Good Soldiers’ Weekly Challenge #1

Just like Overture, the new Lightning Strikes chapter of Tides of War features a variety of Battlefield 5 Weekly Challenges. Each of these challenges actually feature a set of different objectives which lead up to a reward (usually a new weapon). The Lightning Strikes Weekly Challenges appear to be themed more around the chapter’s five events than those in Overture were, however. The first week’s challenge is one of two which form part of the ‘A Few Good Soldiers‘ event, which is themed around the new Squad Conquest game mode.

Completing the Lightning Strikes Week 1 Battlefield 5 Weekly Challenge

Squad Conquest is the first new game mode to come during Battlefield 5 Lightning Strikes. It is only available this week and next week, and will be removed after the 30th of January. DICE recently explained that the mode could return in future, however. For now, the mode is available to play and features three new map variants; ones for Arras, Hamada, and Rotterdam. If you want to complete the first of the Lightning Strikes Battlefield 5 Weekly Challenges, you’ll need to play Squad Conquest. Completing the challenge will earn you the Zk-383 Submachine Gun for the Medic class.

Battlefield 5 Weekly Challenge Themed Around Squad Conquest

  1. Squad Conquest: The first objective of the week #1 Weekly Challenge is simple; just complete three rounds of Squad Conquest. It doesn’t matter whether you’re on the winning or losing side here. After you complete this objective, you can choose to undertake either Squad Spawn or Tag Team.
  2. Squad Spawn: To complete this objective, you need to have five of your squad mates spawn on you. Bear in mind that this doesn’t have to be done in a Squad Conquest match; it can be done in any game mode. Ideally, you’ll want to stay alive as much as you can so that your allies use your spawn point to get back into the fight, so try to avoid getting into the immediate line of fire.
  3. Tag Team: The more aggressive option instead of Squad Spawn, to complete this objective you need to kill or assist kill 20 enemies with your squad. Working as a team will make this much easier, as assist kills count for the same as a regular kill. Once again, this can be done in any game mode.
  4. Earning Trust: This objective requires you to return to Squad Conquest; you’ll need to get a score of at least 15,000 in a Squad Conquest match to complete it. The best way to earn points is to focus on playing the objective. Remember you can get points from following your squad leader’s orders too.
  5. Defend or Perish: Another objective which emphasises capture points, this can be done in any game mode, but is certainly achievable in Squad Conquest. You need to score 10 kills while you’re in a defensive objective area.
  6. Foresight: This objective follows on nicely from Defend or Perish. You’ll need to build 15 Fortifications in defensive objective areas to complete it. Be sure to play Support with the Engineer combat role to get bonuses when building Fortifications.

Battlefield 5 Weekly Challenges Feature Medic Objectives

  1. On Your Feet: While Foresight is a good objective for the Support class, On Your Feet best suits the Medic. You need to revive ten squad mates to complete it. Any class can attempt this, of course, but Medics benefit from faster revive speed, making it less risky when reviving squad mates.
  2. Sanitäter Sonny Tater: As per usual for a Weekly Challenge, there is one optional objective. You don’t need to complete this one, but it’s a good way of earning some extra Chapter XP. To complete it, you need to revive six teammates as a Medic without dying. This objective rewards very careful play; try to avoid taking unnecessary risks. You could even play with a friend so that you have someone on hand to revive you and avoid ending your revive chain if you go down.
  3. Winning: As final objectives go, the ‘Winning’ objective isn’t too bad. All you need to do to complete it and get your Zk-383 SMG is win a single round of Squad Conquest. Obviously, you can only do so much on a squad of eight, but focus on the objectives and you should complete this objective without too much trouble.
