Generation Zero Release Date & Collector’s Edition Announced

Generation Zero is a new IP from Avalanche Studio. The title has generated a lot of expectations ever since its reveal in July of last year. After several months of constant development, Avalanche finally announced the Generation Zero release date. Not only that, but they also were able to announce the pricing and a Collector’s Edition.

Generation Zero is a four-player co-op open world shooter that’s set in 1980’s Sweden. The setting centers around some teenagers who are fighting against hostile machines of unknown origin. While the game emphasizes co-op play, it can also be tackled by solo players.

Generation Zero will make its debut for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 26. The game will cost $35 USD for PC while Console versions cost $40 USD. Avalanche Studios also said that players who pre-order the game will get a Radical Vanity Pack. This pack includes 12 additional apparel items. In addition, the details of the collector’s edition were also announced.

The Collector’s Edition of the game is priced at $80 USD. It comes with a cloth map of Generation Zero’s world, a t-shirt, a Dalecarlian (Dala) horse statue, concept art postcards, and a steel book cover for the game. Furthermore, the Collector’s Edition of the game will be available for US and some regions in EU. You can take a look at the Collector’s Edition preview below:

For players who still haven’t caught on to the gameplay yet; THQ Nordic prepared a video which showcases all the features of the game. The game will have Day/Night cycles, dynamic weather, and complex enemy AI. In addition, you can take a look at the gameplay trailer presented by THQ Nordic below:
