The EA Sports UFC 3 game provides players with a great way to get into the virtual Octagon and battle it out without real-life injuries. While it removes the stresses of being part of a real fight in the UFC, it still brings its share of challenges. One of the more difficult aspects of the game is getting opponents to submit or defending submissions when they’re used on your fighter. Here’s our look at an easy way for how to submit opponents or defend submissions in EA Sports UFC 3.
EA Sports UFC 3: How to submit opponents, defend submission easily
Submission moves frequently employed in mixed martial arts include Rear-naked Choke, Kimura Armlock, Triangle Choke, and Armbar Submission. These holds are used by many the best UFC fighters to wear down opponents and win their fights. Many of the holds are also available to use within the EA Sports UFC 3 game.
To try to get an opponent to submit on your own in UFC 3 involves a Submission Mini-game where you have to win a strategic control game. It’s quite difficult to achieve. Luckily, EA added in a failsafe way to make submitting your opponents easier.
You can enable something called Simple Submissions in the UFC 3 game. To do this, you’ll need to enable the option prior to an offline match. After selecting fighters for that match, enable Simple Submissions by switching it to “On.” This option is only available in the offline modes including Career Mode. That means you’ll be on your own when it comes to online fights.
With Simple Submissions, the UFC 3 game’s AI will help out with submitting opponents or defending against your opponents’ submissions. When you’re trying to do one or the other, rap the X or A button depending on your controller. The quicker you tap that button, the better the AI will perform the submission or try to escape one.
This can take the hard work out of trying to do submission work yourself. However, learning to perform these holds or escape them goes a long way towards excellence in the game.
