FIFA eClub World Cup 2019: KiNG eSports Is Victorious At London Finals

On Sunday, the FIFA eClub World Cup 2019 finals wrapped up in London with the best gamers on the planet battling it out. Two eSports stars who are becoming household names were able to team up and bring home the title. The KiNG eSports crew became the first eSports organization to capture the victory.

KiNG eSports wins FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 London

The KiNG eSports team consists of PGL FIFA 19 Cup winner Tekkz and nicolas99fc. On the first day of tournament action, both players were outstanding in the second and third rounds. However, Sunday brought challenges. 

According to FIFA.com, the two eSports players were losers in each of their one vs. one matchups. That forced a third matchup. However, the duo was able to capture the title when working together. They teamed up to defeat Dijon and won a prize of $40,000 cash.

Tekkz talked about how he has plenty of doubters who believed the updates in FIFA would hinder his success. However, he commented, “Everyone thought I’d be gone after the patch (latest update), but I’m still here!”

FIFA eClub World Cup 2019 Day 2 highlights

On Day 1, KiNG rattled off six back-to-back wins to get into the quarterfinals. On Day 2, the KiNG eSports duo won their quarterfinals battle against Imperial, while Faze took down AFC Ajax in a shootout situation. Dijon advanced to the semifinals with their big win 2 over Manchester City. In another matchup, Futbolist defeated Wolverhampton to also move on.

That produced a final four of Dijon vs. Faze and Futbolist vs. KiNG eSports. Ultimately, KiNG toppled Futbolist in their semis matchup, while Dijon got past Faze to reach the finals. Ultimately, it was the team of Tekkz and nicolas that reigned supreme.

KiNG was the team to watch once the reigning champions Brondby were knocked out on Day 1. That’s because nicolas99fc was atop the Xbox rankings while his teammate topped the PlayStation rankings. Congratulations to this tough team as they’ve claimed the big win in London and will continue to push for further success in FIFA competitions.
