NHL 19 Trade Deadline HUT Event Brings Peter Forsberg, Marian Gaborik Master Items & Other Trade-Themed Items
The NHL trade deadline is just 10 days away for teams to make their roster-boosting moves. As a way to let gamers participate in the fun of it all, there’s a new NHL 19 Hockey Ultimate Team event underway. The NHL 19 Trade Deadline HUT event includes several high-powered Master Items in addition to the new trade-themed content available in the game.
NHL 19 Trade Deadline HUT players available in packs
The new trade deadline event brings specific NHL 19 players to packs based on noteworthy trades of the past. They highlight plays traded way back in 1999 all the way through 2016. Among the stars included are 95-rated cards for Jarome Iginla and Marian Hossa of the Pittsburgh Penguins as well as 94-rated Jay Bouwmeester and Eric Staal cards. Check out some of the best below.

- 92 OVR Bill Ranford, G – Detroit Red Wings (1999)
- 90 OVR Adam Oates, FW – Philadelphia Flyers (2002)
- 91 OVR Brian Leetch, D – Toronto Maple Leafs (2004)
- 91 OVR Andrew Ladd, FW – Chicago Blackhawks (2008)
- 95 OVR Marian Hossa, FW – Pittsburgh Penguins (2008)
- 93 OVR James Neal, FW – Pittsburgh Penguins (2011)
- 95 OVR Jarome Iginla, FW – Pittsburgh Penguins (2013)
- 94 OVR Jay Bouwmeester, D – St. Louis Blues (2013)
- 92 OVR Ales Hemsky, FW – Ottawa Senators (2014)
- 94 OVR Eric Staal, FW – New York Rangers (2016)
These particular player cards are available in the Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) packs through March 1, 2019. So the promotion will continue past the NHL trade deadline which falls on Monday, February 25.
NHL 19 Trade Deadline Master Item Sets
In addition to the trade-themed player cards shown above, the HUT promotion brings some very special Master Item Sets. Gamers can get three high-rated Master Item sets by completing in-game challenges. The Master Item Sets feature a 97-rated Peter Forsberg, 97-rated Marian Gaborik, and a 95-rated Ben Bishop. These are special cards worthy of completing some valuable in-game tasks.
To get started on acquiring the Master Player upgrades, you can pick up one of those trade deadline items found in the HUT Trade Deadline packs. Those are the 90 Peter Forsberg (Predators), 90 Marian Gaborik (Blue Jackets), or 88 Ben Bishop (Senators) cards.
Then comes the fun, as you’ll need to trade in a set of 20 Trade Deadline Collectibles or a set of 15 Trade Deadline Collectibles along with the player’s collectible item. So there are two ways to get these high-rated cards, but it will take a bit of work to pull off the deal. Still, it’ll bring some extremely valuable player items to your HUT roster.
