When the Infinity Blade came to Fortnite Battle Royale, it was something of a fiasco. Epic Games outright admitted that adding the weapon to Battle Royale meant that they had “messed up.” The weapon was overpowered, and gameplay was heavily out of balance. As a result, they had to remove it pretty quickly. And now, guess what? The Infinity Blade is back, this time inthe Sword Fight LTM.
Love It or Hate It, the Infinity Blade is Back
Here is the description of the Sword Fight LTM.
“Treasure chests contain Epic or better weapons as well as the occasional Infinity Blade! Fight your opponents to find out who is worthy of the Blade… and who is not.”
A second LTM called “Catch!” is here too. It sounds like it will be explosively fun. Here is its description:
“In this mode, all guns have been removed. The only weapons are grenades and other items that can be thrown or tossed. Get in there and throw the enemies back to the lobby!”
Considering what a disaster the Infinity Blade was when Epic originally brought it to Battle Royale, it is almost a surprise that they decided to revive it.
