Developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed that the first ever Apex Legends new gun is dropping later today. Even though there have been patch notes and some new loot recently, this is the first new weapon since the game’s launch. The name of the gun is known to be Havoc and it will be releasing on all three platforms of PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Apex Legends is only just over two weeks old and we are already getting the first Apex Legends new gun. We already know that there is a ton of content coming next month like the first Battle Pass but we didn’t expect a new weapon this month. Without further ado, let’s take a look at what we know about this new weapon.
What Is the Apex Legends New Gun?
Like we mentioned, the name of the new weapon is Havoc. It is the first post-launch weapon and leakers already knew about it. It comes out today and it is likely going to be a new assault rifle. In addition, it seems it will be only the third weapon to use energy ammo.
As of right now, there are only three assault rifles in the whole game, which is less than the four shotguns and sniper rifles. As such, it certainly makes sense that this will be the fourth one to join the category. It is also interesting that it will likely use energy ammo since only two guns in the game currently do.
There are other rumors about it using the Prowler’s Selectfire Receive and more but we aren’t sure about those just yet. Regardless, players can look forward to Havoc releasing sometime today.
