Wrathstone is the first upcoming DLC for The Elder Scrolls: Online’s “Season of the Dragon“; a year-long event spanning four separate DLC releases. Wrathstone is the first, and will be followed by the major Elsweyr Chapter DLC later this year. Two more dungeon pack DLCs, similar to Wrathstone, will follow after that. Now, ZeniMax Online Studios has announced the release date of Wrathstone, and it’s just days away from launch!
The Elder Scrolls: Online Wrathstone DLC Release Date
ZeniMax Online Studios announced Wrathstone last month, shortly after the announcement of Elsweyr, the next big chapter DLC for the Elder Scrolls MMO. The studio has since published several previews of the upcoming dungeon pack, showing off the two different dungeons included with it. The first of these is ‘The Depths of Malatar,’ which will see players exploring an ancient Ayleid ruin based on the Malatar location from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The second dungeons is ‘The Frostvault,’ which is a massive Dwemer fortress.
ZeniMax hadn’t announced a release date for Wrathstone, which will be launching alongside Update 21. However, that has now changed; the dungeon pack will launch on PC and Mac on the 25th of February! Fans on consoles will have to wait a bit longer, as the DLC won’t come on Xbox One or PS4 until the 12th of March. Nevertheless, ZeniMax is clearly keeping up its tradition of announcing release dates at very short notice.
Of course, the Wrathstone dungeon pack DLC will be available for free for ESO Plus members. All other players will be able to purchase it from the Crown Store, as per usual for an Elder Scrolls: Online DLC. Update 21, which will launch on the same day, will be a free game update for all players. The update includes a Guild Trader UI rework and the new ‘Tamriel Zone Guide.’
