The Asian gaming market is one of the most important in the entire gaming industry. Nintendo is aware of this fact. As such, it has been confirmed that Nintendo Switch Online will actually be making its debut in Hong Kong and South Korea on Spring. With this, Nintendo aims to amplify the number of users subscribed to the service even more.
Nintendo Switch Online Will Come to Hong Kong and Korea
According to information from NintendoLife, Nintendo Switch Online will be available this Spring. Some western users might be confused about this development. However, it’s fairly complicated to release services like this. While the Chinese market is as big as it is. It definitely is a lot harder to publish games from outside the mainland for a number of reasons.
In fact, some Chinese companies had a tough time releasing games last year. This is because China has really strict media content regulations. For example, the country froze game approvals ever since March 2018. Furthermore, only a few titles have been approved for release in this country.
Considering this information, Hong Kong’s acceptance of the service is rather swift compared to other attempts at selling consoles or services. Nintendo hasn’t revealed anything regarding pricing of the service. However, more details will probably be revealed by the Chinese Nintendo Twitter account.

Of course, Nintendo Switch Online is still far from being the perfect Online service. However, Nintendo has worked hard on bringing more perks. Not only that, but they have also recently released Tetris 99 which brought Battle Royale to a magnificent puzzle game.
