Fortnite is enjoying a massive amount of success right now as one of the top battle royale games out there, but the cooler parts of the game undoubtedly come from fans out there making awesome content. Content creators JhbTeam have put together something extremely impressive in the form of Fortnite: The Arcade Game, which shows off what Epic Games’ popular title might look like if it were indeed an arcade title.
“Fortnite: The Arcade Game” takes classic arcade cues and adds arcade-y sounds, a menu, an overall 8-bit theme, and even an “Insert Coin” message alongside a health bar to give the game that old-school vibe. The video iself even goes from round to round, exploring locales like Disco Party, Soccer Game, and Skybase. From the very beginning opening moments of the video, it’s clear that a lot of thought went into putting it together, clearly by someone who still appreciates the classics and doesn’t find Fortnite to be the be all and end all of gaming, as awesome as it is.
The end of the video, which heads to Skybase, shows off a ramp with a launch pad that players will likely know all about if they’ve ever dealt with a ramp with the floor removed from under them before. You’ll know exactly what we’re talking about when you give it a watch.
