Apex Legends is breaking insane records left and right with more than 50 million players in one month. As such, it’s no surprise that gamers across the world are interested in what this new Battle Royale has to offer. Of course, some players are not actually adults just yet and, therefore, must adhere to whomever they are living under be it a parent or guardian. This includes the Apex Legends age rating.
This means that every household is different. While some kids are allowed to play other Battle Royale games like Fortnite, some kids aren’t able to. Each person raises their child differently so it is important to know the Apex Legends age rating. This will allow parents to know if this game is alright for their kid. Here’s what the age rating is.
Apex Legends Age Rating
For those of you who are in North America like us, the ESRB Apex Legends age rating is T for Teen. Meanwhile, our friends in Europe have a PEGI Apex Legends age rating of 16 years old. Obviously, those are two different age ratings. Here in North America, it’s totally fine for a 13-year-old or older to play it.
But in Europe, it’s more for 16-year-olds or older. Of course, if a parent gives permission, the child can play it regardless. Conversely, if the parent doesn’t want their child playing it, they won’t be able to either. As such, the age rating is important but not the defining factor.
At its core, Apex Legends is a grittier version of Fortnite. You are still wanting to kill as many enemy players as possible but the blood and gore are still at a minimum. If you don’t like your child participating in that type of game, then you likely know what’s the best decision for them already.
