While we still don’t know when the Apex Legends season one update will be, we do have the balance patch notes to tie us over. These notes are part of the latest update that dropped today. With it, comes some important balances to the game. There are more balances on the way including an Apex Legends Caustic buff that Caustic mains will want to know.
Interestingly enough, many of the Legends are getting changes in the upcoming future, some of which are buffs and others are nerfs. By far, though, the biggest change for any of the Legends looks to be the Apex Legends Caustic buff. This mixed Legend is finally getting the long-awaited buff that Caustic mains have been asking for. Here’s what you need to know.
Apex Legends Caustic Buff
First and foremost, let’s go over when we can expect this buff. It isn’t actually part of the balances update today as that is mainly for weapons in the game. We will be getting the Caustic buff and other Legend balances in the future. This buff and the other Legend changes will be happening with the start of season one.
We don’t know when that start is just yet, though. The Apex Legends Caustic buff is as follows:
Minor balance changes:
-
Caustic
-
Traps – Reduced cooldown to 25 seconds from 30 seconds
-
For Traps – Increased radius and proximity radius by about 10%
-
Traps – Removed a 1-second delay on the smoke dealing damage to players
-
These will ensure that Caustic will be a much better Legend overall. Many players (including us) saw the Legend as one of, if not the, weakest of the bunch. While he has his uses, his strength was underwhelming. These changes will make sure that isn’t as much of a problem, which is great for everyone as a whole.
