The NHL 19 game is popular for its hard-hitting and fastpaced action which many gamers enjoy. Now those gamers who excel on the virtual ice can take their talents into the next level of competition. The NHL 19 Gaming World Championship will provide that tougher competition with fame and prizes up for grabs for those who prove to be best of the best.
NHL 19 Gaming World Championship 2019 details
Just recently, EA Sports NHL 19 unveiled a promotional video for the upcoming Gaming World Championship. The hype video also features the link for the registration page for 2019 competition. The competition allows gamers to use their Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) to compete.
Starting on Mar. 13, Online Open Play will begin and run through Apr. 7 allowing gamers to compete as many as 25 times each week. Every week, gamers move up the leaderboard and ultimately the best from the United States, Canada, and Europe will advance. The main goal is a spot at the Live Regional Finals.

There will be eight finalists for each region: Europe, Canada, and the US. Those finalists will battle it out at the regional finals in Stockholm, Sweden for Europe; Toronto, Ontario for Canada and Stamford, Connecticut for the United States. Each of these finals will produce a winner and a runner-up.
They’ll head to the NHL Gaming Final in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gamers will compete in a head-to-head competition with national TV coverage and a share of $100,000 cash available!
NHL 19 Gaming World Championship 2019 has new format
This year’s NHL 19 Gaming World Championship brings with it a game mode change. As mentioned, NHL 19’s Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) will be the new format. The aspect of this that will make things unique and take some strategy is which HUT teams gamers are able to use.
During online qualifiers, gamers are fully allowed to use their very own HUT teams to compete. Once they get to the Regionals and Finals, that all changes. There will be a “fixed pool of 280 NHL players” available in a “serpentine draft.” So gamers will need to strategically create HUT rosters once they’re in those deeper stages of the competition.

The Online Open Play will become available right in the NHL 19 video game. Once gamers get to the second part of the online qualification, third-party esports company Battlefly will host the competition on their platform.
Registration opened as of Mar. 6 and doesn’t close until Mar. 31. Once Online Open Play ends on Apr. 7, the “Play-In Bracket” competition begins for each region from Apr. 13 through May 4. Here are some of the key dates for the upcoming NHLGWC:
