A brand new Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 video presentation has been announced and is coming this week. Nintendo of America took to Twitter to announce the showcase this morning. It will take place this Wednesday, March 20, at 9:00 am PT (12:00 pm ET). Fans can look forward to a whopping 30 minutes of indie-centric information that are coming to Nintendo Switch in the future.
Interestingly enough, it looks like this indie Nintendo Direct is happening around the world. That’s because Nintendo of Europe is hosting the Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 presentation as well. In addition, 30 minutes is extremely long for a Direct of this caliber. For example, of the few showcases like this one, the longest looks to be around 22 minutes in length and that was in 2017.
Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 Details
This will be the longest Nindies presentation so expect a ton of games to show up. No details were given in the initial announcement about what games will appear but we have a few guesses. Expect popular upcoming indie titles like Crosscode, SteamWorld Quest, the Untitled Goose Game, and much more to appear with possible release dates.
As always, we expect that there will be more than a few brand new indie games announced for the first time at the Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 presentation. Of course, it wouldn’t be a modern Nintendo Direct-style event if we didn’t see one or two of the games release the same day as the presentation so expect that to happen as well.
