The big Madden 19 Challenge for 2019 went down this past weekend with one gamer rising above the rest. Christian “Chritobin” Lomenzo captured the latest championship win after a hard-fought tournament. He not only gets fame with the victory but quite a bit more in terms of his esports career. Here are more details on the Madden 19 Challenge results from this weekend.
Madden 19 Challenge Results: Chritobin defeats tough opponents
The winner of the Madden 19 Challenge is Christian “Chritobin” Lomenzo. He’s 20 years old and was considered a “dark horse” among the contenders at the latest tournament. For his win, Chribotin received the shiny championship belt as well as $35,000 US cash in prize money. He’ll also get an automatic spot to compete at the upcoming Madden Bowl for 2019.

Chritobin’s win didn’t come easy this weekend. He took on the odds-on-favorite to win the tournament, defending champion Drini “Drini” Gjoka in the finals. That final went into overtime, with Chritobin getting a “walk-off touchdown” for the win.
A highlight video clip posted on Twitter (below) shows off the impressive victory as the underdog became the brand new Madden Challenge Champion.

However, the defending champ wasn’t the only obstacle that Chritobin faced before winning the championship at the tournament. Among his other opponents were veteran gamer Reginald “Boogz” Brown and the Madden 19 Club Champion Pavan Lakhat. That makes Chritobin’s victory extra special as he continues along his esports career. All future opposition is now on notice.
Madden 19 Challenge Results: EA’s Broadcast Center debuts
Chritobin earned a spot at April’s Madden Bowl and so have 13 other gamers. Still, there are just two spots remaining. A “Last Chance Qualifier” in April will help determine who gets those two seats. Chritobin joins other gamers including Pavan, Drini, Young Liv, and Michael “Skimbo” Skimbo. They’ll be among the 16 competitors heading to the Madden Bowl.
The other major piece of news was the reveal of EA Sports’ brand new gaming studio. A report from Variety discusses the brand new EA Broadcast Center’s interior. It features two studios, touch screens for broadcasters, 360-degree visual sets, and audience seating areas. Lighting and other hi-tech items are in place for big events.

There’s even a cool Player’s Lounge styled like a New York loft. The brand new venue made its debut for this weekend’s Madden 19 Challenge. Not too shabby! We’re definitely excited to see future events taking place in this new setup.
