Now that Fortnite update 4.3 has come out, people will be able to play two new limited time events in the form of Blitz and Teams of 20, two different modes that are likely going to shake up the meta a good bit by changing the game in a variety of ways.
Blitz, for instance, is a much more fast-paced version of the regular Fortnite game. There’s already been a Blitz mode before, but this is a new version that’s been tweaked. The storm circle in Blitz is already forming, and will be moving much faster as you play. Apparently, each game only lasts around 15 minutes, so players will have to be constantly on the move or risk getting caught. There will be spawn increases for things like loot, materials, ammo boxes, and supply drops, so you can still gather materials, but you’ll have to move fast. Blitz will be available in solo mode or in teams of four.
Teams of 20 is an entirely different mode however, putting you into big teams with 19 other people in a huge team game that promises to be pretty chaotic. Teams will each be put onto their own busses in order to make dropping easier, giving players the opportunity to group without enemy teams knowing where they are. This also gives players more tactical options than the game’s 50 on 50 mode, because players can leave two other teams to whittle each other down before finishing off the survivors instead of just having an “us or them” mentality.
Since both Blitz and Teams for 20 mode have increased chests and loot spawns, you won’t get caught without a gun because your teammates or other players take them all, and you can also still build with the increased resource generation.
Once again both Blitz and Teams of 20 will be limited time events, meaning that you don’t have very much time to see how each one plays.
