The Elder Scrolls: Online Elsweyr DLC may not be releasing until the 4th of June, but ZeniMax seems intent on keeping fans reminded of the upcoming launch. Not only will the base game be free-to-play for a week starting in a few days’ time, but the Elsweyr DLC prologue quest is now available to play in-game, for free. Now, the studio has announced that they will be bringing a whole new kind of Crown Crate to The Elder Scrolls: Online Crown Store as well.
How to Get Dragonscale Crown Crates in The Elder Scrolls: Online Crown Store
“Within the mysterious and powerful Dragonscale Crown Crates,” explains ZeniMax; “you can uncover a host of useful consumables, including XP scrolls, potions, and food and drink, in addition to unique collectibles. These collectibles can include Dragonscale-armoured mounts, cosmetics infused with the light of Meridia, magical pets, and much more.”
Some of the items found in these new crates were showcased on the game’s official website. They range from Meridian Sunburst Tattoos to the Dragonscale Solar Horse Mount, among others. Plus, these Dragonscale Crown Crates may also contain new or even previously retired furnishings and collectibles, including the Statue of Namira. A full list of what the crates contain is available here. The Dragonscale Crown Crates will be taking the place of the Xanmeer Crown Crates, which have been available as part of the Murkmire DLC. As such, the next few days will be fans’ last opportunity to buy those crates.
The Dragonscale Crown Crate Season is due to start on the 28th of March. At that point, the crates will become available to purchase in the Crown Crate section of The Elder Scrolls: Online Crown Store. Of course, players will need Crowns to purchase them. In addition to the new crates, players can also undertake new daily quests via the Elsweyr prologue quest, in order to get new reward items from the upcoming DLC.
