NBA Live 19 Content Update Boosts Ratings For Jimmer Fredette, Bruno Caboclo

It’s time for another NBA Live 19 content update to provide player ratings boosts or drops, as well as fresh new in-game items. The latest update dropped on Mar. 29 and features two unsung players who received sizable boosts. In addition, there are starting lineups, transactions, and other in-game updates, so let’s dive in!

NBA Live 19 Content Update: Player Ratings Adjustments

There were a group of notable All-Star players receiving adjustments to their numbers in the latest NBA Live update. They include Kawhi Leonard (93-94), James Harden (97-98), and D’Angelo Russell (87-88). Paul George and Giannis Antetokounmpo each went up a point as well. PG13 is now a 94 OVR and Greek Freak is a 96.

The two frontrunners for Rookie of the Year each went up a point. The Mavs’ Luka Doncic is now an 85 OVR and the Hawks’ Trae Young is now an 81 OVR in the game. The No. 1 NBA Draft pick last summer, DeAndre Ayton, of the Suns also gained a point to become an 84-rated big man in the game.

Just in time for March Madness, Jimmer Fredette gets a three-point boost to become a 71 OVR. Fredette’s teammate Elie Okobo suffered a two-point drop in the new update, falling to a 73 with decreased shooting and defense in the game. Bruno Caboclo had a great game for Memphis this past week and also gets three points to become a 65 OVR.

Meanwhile, LeBron James has been moved down to a 95 OVR. They keep saying that King James just isn’t his elite level self after that groin injury back on Christmas Day, and maybe this is a way to make that case.

NBA Live 19 Content Update: Team Transactions, Lineup Adjustments

Along with the player ratings adjustments, NBA Live’s dev team also tweaked some other aspects of the game. That included some transactions and roster updates. They had to put Jimmer on Phoenix since he’s back. Michael Carter-Williams is now on the Magic, while Corey Brewers is on the Kings. Tim Frazier joins the Bucks and Christian Woods on the Pelicans. Jason Smith is officially an NBA free agent.

Injuries are an unfortunate part of sports seasons and three recently hit players that are starters on their respective teams. NBA Live has addressed those injuries by placing Jeff Teague (Timberwolves), Jusuf Nurkic (Trail Blazers), and Tim Hardaway Jr (Mavs) on the injured list.

Respective team starting lineups are adjusted as a result of those injuries. Other teams with adjusted lineups in the game include the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Sacramento Kings.

In addition to all that, there are a number of in-game player gear updates in NBA Live 19. Check those out in the spoiler section at EA’s forum post here.
